Data Deletion Instructions

OpticData is committed to protecting your privacy. This page explains what data we store when you connect third-party platforms (including Meta/Facebook) and how you can request its deletion.

What Data We Store

When you connect your Meta (Facebook/Instagram) account or other third-party platforms to OpticData, we store:

  • OAuth Tokens: Encrypted access tokens used to fetch your advertising data (encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM)
  • Ad Account Metrics: Campaign performance data including spend, impressions, clicks, conversions, and ROAS
  • Ad Creative Metadata: Campaign names, ad set names, ad names, and creative thumbnails
  • User Profile Information: Your name and email address associated with the connected account

We do not store your Meta password, personal messages, friends list, or any data unrelated to advertising.

How to Request Data Deletion

You can request deletion of your data through any of the following methods:

Option 1: In-App Settings (Recommended)

The fastest way to delete your data:

  • Log in to your OpticData dashboard at app.optic-data.com
  • Navigate to Settings → Connections
  • Click Disconnect next to the integration you want to remove
  • This immediately revokes our access and queues all associated data for deletion

Option 2: Email Request

Send an email to hello@abovetopsecret.io with:

  • Subject: "Data Deletion Request"
  • Your account email address
  • Which platform data you want deleted (e.g., "all Meta data" or "all data")

We will confirm receipt and process your request within the timeline below.

Option 3: Disconnect via Meta

You can also revoke OpticData's access directly from Meta:

  • Go to Facebook Settings → Security and Login → Apps and Websites
  • Find "OpticData" and click Remove
  • This revokes our access tokens; we will detect the disconnection and queue data for deletion

What Gets Deleted

Upon receiving a deletion request, we delete:

  • All encrypted OAuth access tokens and refresh tokens for the disconnected platform
  • All ad account metrics, campaign data, and creative metadata from that platform
  • All AI Operator conversation history that references data from that platform
  • All automation rules configured for that platform's campaigns

If you request deletion of all data (full account deletion), we also delete your user profile, settings, and all stored data across every connected platform.

Processing Timeline

  • Access revocation: Immediate upon disconnection
  • Data deletion: Completed within 30 days of the request
  • Confirmation: We will send a confirmation email once deletion is complete

During the 30-day processing period, your data is marked for deletion and is no longer accessible or used for any purpose.

Data That May Be Retained

In certain cases, we may retain limited data as required by law or legitimate business purposes:

  • Billing records and transaction history (as required by tax law)
  • Aggregated, anonymized analytics that cannot identify you
  • Records required for legal compliance or dispute resolution
